Dr. Nick Riviera

Honorary Degree

Everyone here seems to think I’m a doctor.

I guess it would make sense … why else would a non-oil-worker-type person be coming to a hospital everyday with two women who are doctors. He must be a doctor, too. Right?

“Good morning, doctor.”

“You are working a lot today, doctor?”

“Doctor, these are officials from Brazil who are touring the building …”

I usually just nod my head, smile and say some sort of vapid pleasantry. I don’t have the heart (or vocabulary) to tell them that I am not, in fact, a doctor.

I might be able to fix your website, but I most definitely can’t do a thing to help that child that’s nestled in your arms. Where in the hell is Kelli?

  1. Don’t know about the rest of your family, but I just retired my nick name for you, Jus. From now on you are “Doc.”

  2. Those aren’t GLG20s – I smell a decoy! Best scene from a childhood favorite. Good luck dr. — just consult webmd on the sly.
